Top Home Run Picks Today
- Patrick Wisdom (+265)
- Starling Marte (+560)
Patrick Wisdom (+265) - Chicago Cubs vs. Philadelphia Phillies
)Kyle Gibson surrendered six home runs over his last three home starts and we've got favorable wind conditions in Philly today. Thus, I'm targeting Cubs' hitters with my home run props.
Patrick Wisdom only has two career plate appearances against Gibson, but one of them was a dinger. I think he gets another today as he bolsters his trade value ahead of the deadline. Wisdom ranks in the 91st percentile in average exit velocity and 95th in barrel percentage, so he's more than capable of squaring one up.
Against a starting pitcher and bullpen that both love to give up hard contact, I'm rolling with Wisdom to start his second half with a bang. -- Joe Summers
Starling Marte (+560) - New York Mets vs. San Diego Padres
Marte has been a massive pick up for the Mets this season. He has also specifically been a monster at home, hitting .329 in addition to cracking six of his nine homers. Now he faces Yu Darvish, who has struggled on the road this season, posting an ERA north of 5.00.
While he's not known for his power, Marte has pop in his bat and I like this set up for him with balls set to fly in the heat of New York and for him to get to double digit homers on the year. -- Reed Wallach
