Delaware vs. Towson Prediction and Odds for CAA Semifinal (Count on Tigers to Keep Rolling)
By Joe Summers
The 25-7 Towson Tigers aim for their eighth straight victory as they take on the 20-12 Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens in the CAA Semifinal tonight at 6:00 PM EST.
Towson beat Delaware twice in January and are 4-1-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last six, but the Fightin' Blue Hens looked impressive in a 66-56 win over Drexel in the quarterfinals.
Can Delaware ride the momentum of that victory to play spoiler to the Tigers' NCAA Tournament dreams? Or does value lie with Towson to stay hot and earn a third victory over their adversaries?

Delaware vs Towson Prediction and Pick
Today, like most days, is a beautiful day to bet the Towson Tigers. The #1 seed in the CAA Tournament, the Tigers are 15-2 in their last 17 and know they need to win this tournament to solidify a spot in March Madness, so we'll see a fully-focused effort today.
Towson has a few key advantages that lead me to side with them. First, they're an excellent rebounding team. The Tigers have the 9th-highest offensive rebounding rate in college basketball while Delaware is a terrible 291st in defensive rebounding percentage. Even if Towson's 51st-ranked offense, per Bart Torvik, struggles shooting against the Fightin' Blue Hens' 231st-ranked defense, they'll have enough second-chance looks to separate themselves.
But they shouldn't struggle shooting to begin with. Towson is in the 94th percentile in effective field goal percentage in their last five games and has the 47th-highest three-point shooting offense in America. Delaware, meanwhile, has the 288th-best three-point shooting defense and is in the 32nd-percentile in defensive rating on the year.
The Fightin' Blue Hens are 1-3 ATS in their last four and are just 3-6 ATS as an underdog while Towson is 21-9-1 ATS overall.
The Tigers are just too hot to fade right now. Over their last five games, they're in the 99th percentile in offensive rating and 96th in defensive rating. They're peaking at the right time and playing dominant basketball, winning five of their last seven contests by at least 15 points.
Give me Towson to keep rolling and inch one step closer to an NCAA Tournament bid. Delaware is just 13-18 ATS on the season and I don't think they have enough to stop a flaming hot Tigers squad.
Pick: Towson -5 (-110)
