The Dallas Cowboys defense has been one of the most dominant units in the NFL this season, so what better person to talk to about them than the Cowboys all-time sack leader, DeMarcus Ware?

I got the chance to sit down to talk to him this week to discuss what makes the Dallas pass rush so good, his thoughts on the Cowboys chances to win it all, and his time golfing alongside his good friend, Von Miller.

This is what the 9x Pro Bowler had to say when I asked him to breakdown why and how the Cowboys pass rush is so dominant:

"I think all the guys have bought in. Last year, they were trying to figure out who's the penetrator, who's the rusher, who's the looper, who is the "guy". Then Micah Parsons comes up, because DeMarcaus Lawrence was the "guy" before, so when you get a young guy come in and take your shine, sometimes you can get a little bitter, right? But, I feel like now DeMarcus Lawrence has accepted that I am Batman, and now I have Robin."

So, with a defense as great as they have, can the Cowboys go on a deep run in this season's playoffs?

"I think they can go on a run with their schedule they have coming up," Ware told BetSided. "With Dak coming back, you have their defense doing what they need to do. They just need to score more points early, because this is how they got on that 4-0 streak they had. Rush was able to score early, the defense was able to rush the passer."

The Cowboys are 7-point favorites over the Lions in Week 7, and unsurprisingly, Ware thinks they'll cover that spread.

"I will say that they will win by more than 7 points because they're hungry. They know they just lost to the Philadelphia Eagles and I think Detroit's coming here and it's hell being in Dallas in Jerry Land."

He also told me about what it was like to golf (and gamble) with Von Miller, so watch the full interview above to check that out.

DeMarcus Ware is partnered with Crown Royal, and he'll be competing against Bo Jackson in a cookoff challenge to raise money for the Southern Smoke Foundation. You can find out more about it here.
