The Denver Nuggets have won two games in a row, crushing the Dallas Mavericks on Friday, 106-75, and defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday, 93-91. Defending NBA MVP Nikola Jokic picked up a double-double in each of the last two games.

Can they make it three straight Monday night against the Memphis Grizzlies?

The Grizzlies lost to the Miami Heat on Saturday, 129-103, and has now dropped three of its last four games.

These two teams will become familiar with each other as they play back-to-back games in Memphis on Monday night and Wednesday.

Nuggets vs. Grizzlies Prediction and Pick

The Nuggets are 26th in the NBA in pace, slowing down the tempo of the game. Less possessions for Ja Morant of the Grizzlies may be the best way to win the game for Denver.

Denver’s ability to slow down the game has them allowing just 96.8 points per game, first in the NBA. The Nuggets can occasionally get into foul trouble, averaging over 20 fouls per game, and Memphis can make up a lot of points on free throws, hitting 82.6 percent from the charity stripe.

As long as Denver can get some offensive contribution from someone else other than Jokic, possibly Will Barton or Michael Porter Jr., the Nuggets can outscore Memphis tonight.

All Denver needs to do is keep Ja Morant from putting up 30 or more points, slow the game down, and keep the fouls in check. It's that simple.

I’m taking the Nuggets at +110 and on the spread at +2.
