DePaul travels to Georgetown for a battle between struggling Big East foes. The Blue Demons hot start to the season has been stymied by a 3-13 conference record, now 12-14 on the season.

Meanwhile, Patrick Ewing has been unable to find last year's success as his Hoyas have dropped 16 straight games. They are short home underdogs on Thursday night in what could be their last chance to win a regular season game this season? Can they do it?

Here are the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook.

DePaul vs. Georgetown Odds, Spread and Total

Spread:

  • DePaul: -2.5 (-110)
  • Georgetown: +2.5 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • DePaul: -140
  • Georgetown: +120

Total: 148 (Over -110/Under -110)

DePaul vs. Georgetown Prediction and Pick

The Blue Demons have been competitive this season, and despite their four game losing streak, they have played well against stiff competition, losing three of them by single digits and a combined total of 19 points. In that span the team played three NCAA Tournament quality teams in Providence (lost in overtime), Creighton and Seton Hall.

Now they travel to face Georgetown, who can't do anything right. The team is winless in Big East play and has lost all seven games in February by at least eight points, six of which by double digits.

DePaul's defense is the strong point of the team and they should shut off the Hoyas avenues to success which relies on transition opportunities and second chances. DePaul is top 100 in limiting potential points off breakaway steals, second chance conversions and field goal percentage at the rim, so there will be no gimmies for a Hoyas team that is simply playing out the season.

On the other side, DePaul should be able to finish inside against a soft Georgetown frontcourt that is bottom 100 in field goal percentage at the rim. I expect we see a motivated DePaul team that pulled away in the second half from G'Town two weeks ago, resulting in an eight point home win, despite the Hoyas shooting 12-of-27 from beyond the arc.

I like DePaul to score a victory on Thursday night.

LEAN: DePaul -2.5
