The Pistons travel to Utah to take on a Jazz team that’s trying to make up ground in the top of the Western Conference, but they’ve lost their last two games and have lost seven of their last 10. The young upstart Pistons squad will look to pull off a major upset on the road.

Let’s start with the odds via WynnBET.

Spread:

  • Pistons +14.0 (-110)
  • Jazz -14.0 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • Pistons +700
  • Jazz -1100

Total:

Pistons vs. Jazz Prediction and Pick

Things haven’t been going well in Salt Lake City as of late. Despite still hanging on to the No.4 spot in the Western Conference, the Jazz have been one of the coldest teams in basketball lately. They’ve dropped seven of their last 10, including upset losses to Houston and this same Pistons team just 11 days ago.

So you’re telling me there’s a chance? Absolutely there is.

In their last 10 games, Utah has ranked 11th in offensive rating but have essentially forgotten how to play defense. They’re 25th in defensive rating and 20th in defensive rebounding over that stretch.

Not helping the case for the Jazz tonight is that guard Donovan Mitchell has been ruled out with a concussion, and center Hassan Whiteside, who’s a strong defensive center, is out in the league health and safety protocols.

The Pistons have forward Saddiq Bey, who is filling in for Jerami Grant, and he put up 29 points against this Jazz squad the last time they played. Rookie Cade Cunningham, the first overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, also put up 29 on them the last time out. Mitchell scored 31 for the Jazz and it still wasn’t enough, and he won’t be suiting up in this game.

Listen, betting a massive underdog like the Pistons at +700 isn’t the smartest approach to betting, so I won’t suggest that you do it, but I also won’t be mad if you decide to put a little action on it. However, I do really like the Pistons’ chances to cover a two-touchdown spread when the Jazz won’t have their leading scorer.

Pick: Pistons +14.0 (-110)
