Diamondbacks vs. Giants Prediction and Odds for Wednesday, July 13 (Will Diamondbacks Rebound After Blowout?)
By Joe Summers
The 44-42 San Francisco Giants have won three of four as they host the 39-49 Arizona Diamondbacks this afternoon at 3:45 PM EST.
John Brebbia starts for the Giants in what will be a bullpen day. He's 4-1 with a 2.39 ERA on the year.
Meanwhile, Arizona turns to Zac Gallen after losing five of seven. Gallen had a fantastic start to the year but has fallen off significantly of late, compiling a 7.31 ERA in his last three outings.
Can Gallen get Arizona back on track or will San Francisco notch a second straight win?

Diamondbacks vs Giants Prediction and Pick
Over their last three games, the Giants scored 28 runs. Their lineup is breaking out in a big way, but even still I don't feel I can trust them. San Francisco has the second-worst OPS against right-handed pitchers over the last two weeks and I believe Zac Gallen is better than what he's shown.
Gallen has a 3.34 road ERA and shouldn't be an underdog against a Giants' bullpen that's fallen apart over the last couple of months.
Arizona has the superior bullpen, defense, and offense. John Brebbia certainly has more success than Gallen recently, but he's only going to last an inning or two and then it's anyone's guess how the Giants' relievers will do.
San Francisco is 1-5 in its last six as a home favorite and I think Gallen snaps out of his slump this afternoon. The Giants may be overvalued as well given yesterday's 12-0 win, so I'll take the plus money on the Diamondbacks to improve to 4-2 in their last six as underdogs.
Pick: Diamondbacks (+115)
