Diamondbacks vs. Giants Prediction and Odds for Monday, July 11 (Can Bettors Trust San Francisco?)
By Reed Wallach
The Giants have fallen off the pace in the National League playoff race, and are now scratching and clawing to get back in the Wild Card race.
San Francisco hosts the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday to start a three game series. Can the Giants get a strong start from Alex Cobb, or will he continue his struggles?
What about Arizona, who sends out their best pitcher in Merrill Kelly.
Here are the odds for Monday's matchup with odds from WynnBET Sportsbook:

Diamondbacks vs. Giants Prediction and Pick
Cobb is the poster child for regression, but when is time to call it what it is and say that it's just not his year. Cobb has an ERA of 4.74 with a FIP that sits around 3.07. He is allowing about the same amount of hits as he has for his career and is actually walking less batter than in 2021.
However, Cobb can't catch a break and his ERA still sits near 5.00. However, he has been better at home than on the road this season: 3.45 ERA at AT&T Park while 6.31 on the road in 2022. It'll be tough sledding against a surging Diamondbacks offense that is ninth in wRC+ since June 26th.
On the other side, Kelly toes the slab for Arizona, who is enjoying a banner year. He has gone at least six innings in his last six starts and is consistent at home and on the road. Kelly is the reliable asset between the two starters and neither pen is great.
Right now, the difference is the offense for Arizona and how poor the Giants have been at the plate. I mentioned that Arizona is top 10 in wRC+ over the last two weeks or so, well the Giants are 26th. I can't lay this number with the worse offense and worse pitcher.
LEAN: Diamondbacks +142
