Baltimore Ravens’ wide receiver Marquise Brown has always been a deep threat option in the Ravens’ passing attack. Brown’s yards per reception has always been high, 13.7 yards per reception in his career; that number remains high in 2021, sitting at 16.1 after the first five games. The difference has been his catch percentage, as his catch percentage is currently 73.7 percent, much higher than his career catch percentage of 63.2 percent.

Brown’s ability to catch a higher percentage of his passes makes him a much more reliable option in Baltimore’s offense. Brown has hauled in 28 of 38 targets this season, and last year he caught just 58 of 100 targets; a catch percentage of 58 percent.

Last season, Brown had just one game where he received double digits in targets in a game, Week 5 against the Cincinnati Bengals in a 27-3 win. Brown has already received 10 targets in two of the first five games this season.

WynnBET Sportsbook has set Brown’s reception prop in Week 5 against the Los Angeles Chargers at 4.5 (Over: -115/Under: -115) and his receiving yards prop at 62.5 (Over -115/Under: -115).

The Chargers have a solid passing defense, allowing just 226.6 passing yards per game. But if Lamar Jackson wants to keep up with Justin Herbert, he may have to throw often. Tight end Mark Andrews and Brown are tied for the most targets in Baltimore’s receiving corps with 38 targets each.

Brown has always been a decent play on receiving yards props, potentially hitting the overs with one or two catches, but it looks like he is becoming a safer bet on his receptions props as well.
