The Los Angeles Dodgers will face the Atlanta Braves in the NLCS for the second consecutive season. The Dodgers won the 2020 NLCS after trailing in the series three games to one, but rolled through and won Game 5, Game 6, and the clinching Game 7.

The 2020 NLCS was played at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas in Major League Baseball’s playoff bubble, but Los Angeles and Atlanta will be able to play at their respective home parks in 2021, which should make for a much better atmosphere.

The Dodgers are the favorites to take the NLCS, listed on WynnBET Sportsbook at -200 over the Braves, +180.

Los Angeles won 106 games in the regular season, losing the NL West to the San Francisco Giants by one game. They would extend their playoff life by beating the St. Louis Cardinals in the winner-take-all NL Wild Card game.

The Dodgers recorded the Major Leagues’ best run differential at +269 runs, scored the most runs and took the most walks in the National League, and posted a .244 team batting average (tied with the Braves and Cardinals). Los Angeles’ pitching staff would also post the lowest ERA and opponent batting average in the National League and finish second in strikeouts to the Milwaukee Brewers.

Atlanta would win just 88 regular season games in 2021, but win the disappointing NL East by 6.5 games over the Philadelphia Phillies.

After losing superstar outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr., the Braves impressive lineup has seen a few players step up big, with Austin Riley and Ozzie Albies recording career-best numbers this season. Atlanta finished third in the National League in runs scored, second in home runs, and fifth in batting average.

The Braves pitching staff would finish fourth in the National League in ERA, fourth in opponent batting average, and eighth in strikeouts.
