Dodgers vs. Cardinals Prediction and Odds for Wednesday, July 13 (Can Dodgers Get Back on Track?)
By Reed Wallach
The Cardinals took the first game of their three game series against the Dodgers on Tuesday, 7-6 in a 23 hit affair.
Now Los Angeles turns to Tony Gonsolin's 11-0 record to get the team back on track at Busch Stadium. Can the Dodgers right hander outduel veteran Adam Wainwright of the Cards?
Here are the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook:
Dodgers vs. Cardinals Odds, Run Line, Total
Run Line:
- Dodgers: +1.5 (+112)
- Cardinals: -1.5 (-135)
Moneyline:
- Dodgers: -147
- Cardinals: +137
Total: 8 (Over -110/Under -110)
Dodgers vs. Cardinals Prediction and Pick
Gonsolin has marveled for the Dodgers, but when will his luck run out? He has an MLB best 1.62 ERA and an undefeated record of 11-0. However, he has gotten by with some help in the field. Gonsolin boasts a FIP of 3.36.
There's no denying Gonsolin's excellence through the first three months and change of the season, but he faces a stiff test against the Cardinals and Wainwright at home. The 40-year-old starter continues to shove for the Red Birds, pitching to a 3.15 ERA that improves to 2.21 at Busch Stadium this season.
The Dodgers are third in wRC+ since the beginning of July while the Cardinals check in at 20th. While I'm not interested in potentially getting burned by LA twice in a row, I'll look to the under.
LEAN: UNDER 8 (-110)
