Dodgers vs. Pirates Prediction and Odds for Wednesday, May 11 (Dodgers To Flex On Pittsburgh)
By Matt De Saro
Things were going so well for the Los Angeles Dodgers before the Pittsburgh Pirates, of all teams, popped up on the schedule. The first-place Dodgers were on a six-game winning streak before getting beat by the Pirates 5-1 on Monday. It was the first time since April that the Dodgers were held to one run or less. In fact, it was only the second game that the Dodgers scored less than six runs in their last six games.
Jose Quintana pitched a gem in that game and earned his first win since 2019. Quintana proved that even the deadly Dodgers have weak spots in their lineup.

Dodgers vs. Pirates Prediction and Pick
If there is one quality the Dodgers have right now is a high-quality pitching staff. Therefore, I’m not too worried about who they decide to trot out on Wednesday. That is because, across the board, this team has been dominant on the mound. They are first in pretty much every important pitching category including batting average (.197), runs per game (2.41), and walks per game (2.22). This is all being done with the league's best ERA at 2.19 and WHIP of 0.959. Imagine that: A team this deep into the season with a combined WHIP under 1.00. It’s truly amazing. Their offense is above average and usually does enough to earn a win for this squad.
I’m not going to get hung up on the Pirates taking Game 1. Things happen in sports all that time that appear to be relevant, but really not important at all. I chalk that win up to a fluke and expect the Dodgers to end this series on a high-note
Pick: Dodgers RL
