The Miami Dolphins are holders of the second longest active win streak in the NFL, having won their past six meetings. A team who started 1-7 on the year, is all of a sudden 7-7 and has an outside shot at the postseason.

Week 16 will feature a battle between two 7-7 teams, as the New Orleans Saints are also seeking a spot in the playoffs after upsetting the Bucs in Week 15 as double-digit underdogs.

Let's take a look at the odds for the game, set to take place on Monday Night Football, courtesy of WynnBET.

Dolphins vs. Saints Prediction and Pick

These two teams share a lot of similarities. They're both 7-7 and they're both characterized but poor offenses but solid defenses. There's a reason why the total is set at such a low number of 38.5. The Saints rank 26th in yards per play, and the Dolphins are even worse at 30th.

With that being said, the Saints strengths line up better in this matchup, so I'm going to lay the three points with New Orleans. They've run the ball on 47.67% of plays this season, which is the fifth highest rate in the NFL. The Dolphins allow 4.3 yards per carry, so the Saints should find success on the ground.

Meanwhile, the Dolphins get 72.47% of their offensive yards through the air, which is the sixth highest rate in the NFL. The Saints secondary has got much better in recent weeks, allowing just 4.6 yards per pass attempt over their last three games which ranks third in the NFL in that span.

Styles make fights, and the two team's styles seems to favor the Saints in this interconference matchup.

Pick: Saints -3
