The Atlanta Dream, who can’t seem to catch a break, travel to the desert today to take on the newly invigorated Las Vegas Aces. The Dream come off a solid win against the Phoenix Mercury, but are still a few games under .500. Today doesn’t seem like the best day to start a win streak.

The Aces looked broken a week ago, but have found their mojo again. Can they keep it up against the Dream tonight?

Here are the odds for the matchup via FanDuel.

Dream vs. Aces Odds, Spread and Total

Spread:

  • Dream: +11.5 (-110)
  • Aces: -11.5 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • Dream: +550
  • Aces: -800

Total:

  • 172 (Over: -110/Under: -110)

Dream vs. Aces Prediction and Pick

Prior to the All-Star break, I was questioning whether the Aces were going to be dominant again. It looked like they’d lost their edge and the offense was going to take a step back.

Turns out the All-Star Break was just what the Aces needed to reset and get back to being the most vaunted team in the league. The Aces have won their last three games, knocking off the Liberty twice and beating the Connecticut Sun.

Las Vegas has covered in its last two games, and it’ll need to be on its A-game today to cover against the Dream. Atlanta – the worst offensive team – doesn’t pose a real threat on the court, but they do against the spread. This is the biggest favorite Las Vegas has been all season. The Aces are 2-3 ATS this year as double digit favorites.

I’m slightly worried about backing the Aces because their defense continues to slide – now eighth in defensive rating. Yet, the offense is humming again, and that makes them the most dangerous team in the league.

Despite being 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games, the Aces are the right choice against the spread today.

Pick: Aces -11.5 (-110)
