Ducks vs. Golden Knights Prediction and Odds: Anaheim Ends Its Five Game Losing Streak
By Thomas Snodgrass
The Anaheim Ducks (2-4-2) have now lost five consecutive games after their 4-3 overtime loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday night. The Ducks will make a quick trip to T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas to face the Golden Knights on Friday.
John Gibson (2-2-1, 2.94 GAA, .909 SV%) will be back between the pipes tonight for Anaheim. Gibson got some much needed rest in the last game after allowing four goals in each of his three previous outings.
Vegas (3-4-0) is starting to collect itself after dealing with a myriad of injured players. The Golden Knights are expected to take the ice tonight without wingers Max Pacioretty, Alex Tuch, and Mark Stone.
Robin Lehner (2-4-0, 2.87 GAA, .913 SV%) will be back in net for Vegas. Lehner allowed just one goal on 27 shots faced against the Colorado Avalanche in his last outing.

Ducks vs. Golden Knights Prediction and Pick
Anaheim’s power play unit of Maxime Comtois, Ryan Getzlaf, Rickard Rakell, Jamie Drsydale, and Trevor Zegras doesn’t sound intimidating in any way, but they have been a positive unit early on. The Ducks 27.3 percent power play percentage is currently seventh.
Both Anaheim and Vegas average over 30 shots per game over 30 shots against per game. Both goalies are going to get peppered in this matchup.
The main downside for the Golden Knights is their face-offs. Vegas is winning in the dot at just 45.2 percent, dead last in the NHL.
I’m all in on the Ducks tonight for a rebound.
Let’s take a pick across the board.
I’m taking the Ducks on the moneyline at +215 and on the spread at +1.5 (-110), and I’m taking the over 5.5 (-110), too.
