The Philadelphia Eagles hit the road to Empower Field at Mile High in Denver this week to take a Broncos team that trounced the Dallas Cowboys on the road 30-16; winning outright as 9.5-point underdogs. 

The Eagles come off a tough 27-24 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. The loss dropped them to 3-6 and second in the NFC East. Jalen Hurts had a below average game, passing for 162 yards and a singe touchdown, but he offense managed 331 total yards. Meanwhile, the defense collapsed and gave up nearly 450 yards to the Chargers. 

Denver, now 5-4, is now locked in a three-way tie for the third spot in the AFC West and a half-game behind the Chargers and Raiders. 

Can the Broncos continue to vie for the division or will the Eagles bounce back and close the gap between them and the Cowboys?

This is an interesting game between two teams who have been notoriously hard to predict this season. One week they look unbeatable only to look hopeless the next. Winning streaks are followed by losing streaks and so on. 

The Eagles kept things close last week but they did this in spite of their quarterback’s lackluster play. The Broncos win last week can be largely credited to a defense that stifled a very good Cowboys’ offense. The Eagles' offense is nowhere near as good as the Cowboys' and I think could be in for a rough game. 

I think this game is an early defensive battle but eventually, Teddy Bridgewater and the Broncos are able to pull away. The Eagles will play hard but eventually fall and fail to cover this spread.
