The undefeated Philadelphia Eagles head into the opening Week 9 matchup against a hobbled Houston Texans squad that is playing without their best wide receiver.

Brandin Cooks will miss the Thursday Night primetime game due to "personal reasons," although ESPN's Adam Schefter reports it's because he wanted to be traded at the deadline, and the Texans did not accommodate the request.

The odds have hovered around the Eagles as a two-touchdown road favorite throughout much of today, but there's all sorts of betting opportunities to take advantage of this Thursday evening.

Over at BetSided, we've put together several pieces highlighting bets on tonight's matchup; ranging from spread picks, to player props and anytime touchdowns. Now, let's narrow them to our favorites of the bunch, all in one place.

Here are our team's favorite bets for tonight's game: focusing on a pick against the spread, a prop bet, and an anytime touchdown scorer.

Thursday Night Football Best Bets for Eagles vs. Texans

Eagles -14 (-110)

Philadelphia has done a solid job of opening up large leads on mediocre teams this season, using the second quarter to blow the game open. Philadelphia ranks 1st in the NFL in 2nd quarter scoring, averaging 18 points per 2nd quarter – six more points than the No, 2 team.

The Texans just got destroyed on the ground, and are ranked 31st in opponent yards per carry and 32nd in opponent rushing yards per game. They can’t stop the run, and that’s not what you want to hear before facing the Eagles.

Philly should easily win this game through the ground game (6th in rushing yards per game) and also cover. The Eagles are 3-0 this season when they're a 6.5-point favorite or above.

They just blew out the Steelers, and everything is point towards them blowing the Texans out. - Donnavan Smoot

Best Thursday Night Football Prop Bets for Eagles vs. Texans

DeVonta Smith OVER 50.5 Receiving Yards

DeVonta Smith has quietly had a phenomenal year, but has been overshadowed by newcomer A.J. Brown. After Brown's monster outing last week, the Texans would be smart to try to shut down the former Tennessee Titan. That should open up opportunities for Smith, who is already averaging 60 yards per game this year.

Smith has seen at least eight targets in three of his last five, and if he sees that amount of targets on Thursday night, he should go well over this total. - Iain MacMillan

Best Thursday Night Football Anytime Touchdown Scorer for Eagles vs. Texans

Miles Sanders (+105)

The Eagles can use their backfield as a massive weapon tonight vs. the worst rush defense in the NFL without having to rely on Jalen Hurts.

Enter Sanders, who ranks 12th in the NFL for rushes inside the 20-yard line in the red zone, and is seventh in the NFL for rushes inside the 10. Sanders has just one less touchdown to Jalen Hurts on the ground, while still averaging more than 80 rushing yards per game with five more attempts per game than the Eagles MVP-caliber QB.

The Eagles will look to try and keep Hurts in the pocket and protected as much as they can on the short week. With plenty of early red zone opportunities, Sanders should break daylight at least one time, perhaps even more.
