In this article, I'm going to focus on betting props, which are always fun to wager on in a prime time game.

Let's jump into them.

Thursday Night Football Best Prop bets for Eagles vs. Texans

  • Dameon Pierce OVER 64.5 Rushing Yards (-114)
  • DeVonta Smith OVER 50.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
  • Jake Elliott Total Kicking Points OVER 7.5 (-148)

Dameon Pierce OVER 63.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

If there's one area that the Texans can exploit, it's the Eagles run defense. This may surprise you, but heading into this game, the Eagles rank 29th in opponent yards per carry, allowing an average of 5.1 yards per rush.

Pierce is averaging 77 yards per game this season, well above his sit total for Thursday night. He's also already had a big game against a weak run defense when he faced the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4 and racked up 131 yards.

DeVonta Smith OVER 50.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

DeVonta Smith has quietly had a fantastic season, but he's being overshadowed by AJ Brown. After Brown's performance last week, the Texans would be smart to try to shut down the former Titan. That should open things up for Smith, who is already averaging 60 yards per game this season.

Smith has seen at least eight targets in three of his last five starts, and if he sees that many targets on Thursday night, he should go well over this total.

Jake Elliott Total Kicking Points OVER 7.5 (-146)

Surprisingly, the Texans have one of the better red zone defenses in the NFL. They rank fifth in opponent red zone touchdown scoring percentage, forcing their opponents to field goals on 52.17% of their red zone trips.

Not only that, but if the Eagles win big, like they're expected to do, Elliott may only need one field goal to go over his 7.5 point total.
