Eagles vs. Washington Prediction, Odds, Against Spread and Over/Under for NFL Week 17
By Matt De Saro
The Washington Football Team is the lowest team in the NFC standings that has not yet been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. With that being said, with a .400 winning percentage, Washington will need a miracle to make it into the playoffs at this point. Step one would be to upset its NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles this weekend.
The Eagles enter this rivalry on the road as 3.5-point favorites and riding a three-game winning streak. Philly’s dual-threat QB Jalen Hurts has been at the center of their recent success and has 26 total touchdowns through 15 games. Miles Sanders adds 754 yards to what is one of the most dangerous rushing attacks in the NFL.
The same cannot be said for Washington, whose leading rusher is Antonio Gibson with 591 yards and six touchdowns. Taylor Heinicke leads the offensive charge with 3052 yards but a TD to INT ratio of 20/14.
So, does the WFT have a real shot at the upset here? Here are the odds for this Week 17 NFC East clash, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Eagles vs. Washington Prediction and Pick
The one thing that the Washington Football Team has going for them is an above-average defense That was, up until last week. The Dallas Cowboys absolutely dismantled Washington to the tune of 56 points and 497 total yards on offense. Not only was it the worst game this defense has had all season, but it really highlighted for me just how bad their offense is.
When playing well, their defense is enough to keep them in losing games. But when it is bad, they have no shot. The WFT has now lost three division games in a row, including a Week 15 game against the Eagles. They lost by 10 in that game and I am having a hard time seeing how they got better since then. If anything, their biggest asset got crushed last weekend. Sure, this team could rally and mathematically stay alive in the playoff hunt. But, I think it’s far more likely last week’s loss took whatever life this team had left.
Pick: Eagles -3.5 (-110)
