East Tennessee State vs. North Dakota State Prediction, Odds, Against Spread and Over/Under
By Matt De Saro
The No. 7 East Tennessee State Buccaneers put together one of the most impressive comebacks in recent memory in the Southeast second-round game. The Bucs were down two touchdowns to Kennesaw State with less than a minute-and-a-half to play but we not giving up. They managed to recover an onside kick and then successfully pull off a go-ahead 2-point conversion to get the Buccaneers to the FCS semifinals.
The Bucs now face off against the No.2 North Dakota State Bison who head back home after beating up on Southern Illinois on the road 38-7 their last time out.
While the oddsmakers think ETSU has the vaguest of chances to win this game, a cover is never out of the question. Here are the odds for this FCS semifinal matchup, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

East Tennessee State vs. North Dakota State Prediction and Pick
It doesn’t take a long look over the odds to notice that ETSU is a pretty big underdog in this game. They are, in fact, the biggest underdog of this weekend and probably of any remaining bowl game or championship showdown.
This is for good reason because NDSU has an offense that routinely bullies their fellow FCS peers. One of their biggest strengths is scoring off of turnovers as the Bison has 87 points off takeaways this season. The offense is led by Cam Miller who just barely breaks the top-100 in passing yards with 1030 and TaMerik Williams with 605 yards rushing. The team is built more to dominate of defense. This is good because, despite the mega-underdog status, ETSU has a scary good offense.
To clarify, the Buccaneers have a scary good running back in Quay Holmes. Holmes, a senior, is second in the FCS in rushing yards with 1518 and tied for first with 17 touchdowns. Tyler Riddell is having a good season with 2372 yards passing and a TD/INT rate of 19/4.
There is no question who the better team is here but I think this spread is a bit too much. Especially for a semifinal game. ETSU isn’t a bad team and they aren’t 25 points worse than NDSU.
Prediction: East Tennessee State +25 (-110)
