Weekday MACtion is back and we are all looking for some football bets on a Tuesday, so let's get our Week 11 opener right with a winner.

Eastern Michigan has had an up-and-down season that includes a shocking upset win at Arizona State but also a floundering 2-3 conference record. The Eagles head to Akron to face the 1-8 Zips, who are struggling under first year head coach Joe Morehead. Here are the latest odds for this MAC conference showdown on Tuesday:

Eastern Michigan vs. Akron Odds, Spread and Total

Eastern Michigan vs. Akron Betting Trends

  • Eastern Michigan is 0-4 against the spread (ATS) as a favorite
  • Eastern Michigan is 3-1 ATS on the road this season
  • Both teams have gone UNDER in five of nine games this season

Eastern Michigan vs. Akron Prediction and Pick

It's never pleasant trusting a MAC favorite of over a touchdown, but I believe they are the correct side, the far more potent offense.

The Eagles have shuffled Troy transfer Taylor Powell in and out of the lineup due to injury, but the team has held up on offense nicely this season, ranking top 25 in third down conversion percentage, red zone touchdown percentage and checks inside the top 50 in success rate.

They will face an Akron team that has been a mess on offense this season under first year offensive mind Moorehead. The team is bottom 10 nationally in sacks allowed and explosive pass and rush rate. While EMU's defense leaves some to be desired, Akron's defense is the real issue. The team is bottom 10 nationally in yards per play allowed and won't be able to slow down the efficient Eagles offense.
