Eastern Michigan vs. Central Michigan Prediction, Odds, Against Spread and Over/Under for College Football Week 13
By Matt De Saro
The Central Michigan Chippewas (7-4) are gunning for their fourth win in a row when they take on rivals Eastern Michigan Eagles (7-4).
EMU is coming off a huge come-from-behind victory over Western Michigan (6-5) last week by a score of 22-21. The Eagles were inching towards a loss until a fourth-quarter fumble was recovered by Russell Vaden IV and set up the game-winning field goal.
The Eagles were led by running back Jawon Hamilton with 179 yards of 19 carries. Quarterback Ben Bryant added 156 yards through the air. The only touchdown pass thrown by the Eagles was by backup running back Samson Evans who threw a 19-yard pass to Hassan Baydoun.
The Chippewas has a much easier time last week with a 37-17 win over Ball State to move into second place in the MAC West. Running back Lew Nichols III led the Chippewas again with 219 yards and three rushing touchdowns. He added one catch for 17 yards. Quarterback Daniel Richardson did his part with 283 yards and two touchdowns but also gave up two interceptions.

Eastern Michigan vs. Central Michigan Prediction and Pick
With the MAC West having been clinched by NIU last week, this game becomes a lot less meaningful for both teams. Additionally, both teams have already the seven wins needed to secure a bowl game. So, at the end of the day, this game will be played for pride and annual bragging rights.
Unfortunately, for the Eagles, I think that the Chippewas end up on the right side of this game. The Eagles’ defense allows 436.2 yards per game and ranks 113th in the nation. This is due in large part to their awful rushing defense that also ranks 113th.
Here is the big problem with that. The Chippewas running back, Lew Nichols, leads the nation with 1,516 rushing yards and seventh with 11 rushing touchdowns.
Last weekend, backup running back Darius Bracy flashed a bit of potential and had 58 yards on 13 rushes in the best game of his career. I think that Nichols will run all over the Eagles and Richardson is good enough to keep the defense guessing. So long as he keeps the interceptions to a minimum, the Chippewas should cruise to a win here.
Pick: Central Michgian -8.5 (-110)
