The 2020 UEFA European Football Championship had an exciting, and sometimes terrifying, group stage. The bracket is now set, and the tournament will begin its knockout stage on Saturday.

France entered the tournament as the +400 betting favorite and it remains in the spot, at the exact same price, heading into the second stage of the tournament after winning Group F also known as the “Group of Death."

Many of the other teams that were expected to succeed remain close to the top of the odds list, but there has certainly been some significant changes.

All odds listed below are per WynnBET.

  • France +400
  • Italy +550
  • England +600
  • Germany +650
  • Spain +700
  • Belgium +800
  • Netherlands +800
  • Portugal +1000
  • Denmark +1500
  • Czech Republic +3000
  • Sweden +3000
  • Croatia +5000
  • Switzerland +5000
  • Ukraine +5000
  • Wales +5000
  • Austria +10000

Italy Rises On Odds List After Sweeping Group Stage

Many people had questions about the Italian squad heading into the tournament, but it exceeded expectations by easily handling all three of their group stage opponents. It defeated both Turkey and Switzerland by a score of 3-0, and then completed the sweep by taking down Wales 1-0.

Italy will take on Austria in the Round of 16, which has the longest odds to win the tournament at +10000. The Italians will be seeking their first Euro Championship since 1968.

Portugal’s Odds Drop After Finishing in Third in Group F

There was no doubt that Group F would be the most difficult to advance from in the Group stage. France, Germany and Portugal were competing to win the Group of Death, but many people didn’t expect that it’d be Portugal that would finish in third place. It finished with the same 1-1-1 record as Germany, but due to its loss coming against the Germans, it ended on the wrong side of the tiebreaker.

Portugal began the tournament with +650 odds, but are now listed at +1000 ahead of the knockout stage. It will face off against a tough Belgium squad in the Round of 16.

Sweden is a Dark Horse

Sweden’s odds remain at +3000, which are the same odds they had before the tournament kicked off, but it impressed in the group stage and could be a dark horse down the stretch. It defeated Slovakia and Poland, and played to a scoreless draw against group favorite Spain.

Sweden is on the favorable side of the bracket, and its toughest challenge will be when it faces the winner of England and Germany in the second round. It should have no issue getting past Ukraine in the Round of 16.
