Every Big Ten Team's Predicted Win Total for 2022 Season: Will Ohio State Lose This Season?
By Reed Wallach
The Big Ten is a tale of two divisions.
In the Big Ten East, Ohio State is head and shoulders above the rest. After falling short to Michigan in 2021, the Buckeyes are the second best team in the country behind Alabama, but the West provides a lot more intrigue. Several teams have a win total between seven and nine wins, making it one of the most competitive divisions in college football this season.
Here are the win totals for each Big Ten team heading with Week 1 on the horizon.

Odds Indicate Ohio State in For Undefeated Regular Season
If you want to back Ohio State in the regular season win total market, you're counting on an undefeated regular season. The Buckeyes have a win total of 11 with the odds shaded towards the over at -130. The Buckeyes return Heisman Trophy favorite C.J. Stroud in addition to star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba and running back TreVeyon Henderson. In my eyes, this is the best team in the country.
Ryan Day's team will be favored by double digits in every game, and oddsmakers aren't giving you any wiggle room to cash this bet.
Big Ten West Has Plenty of Competitors
Count five teams in the West that have a win total of at least 7.5, indicating that there are plenty of worthy foes that are likely going to be matched up against the Buckeyes in the Big Ten Championship.
Wisconsin is at the top of the bunch with a win total of nine, shaded towards the under, while Iowa remains in the mix after making the title game last season.
Minnesota, Purdue and Nebraska round out the group with a lot to be sorted out this season. Keep an eye on what could be a crazy season in this division with a lot of quality teams but maybe not a dominant one.
