As a bettor, it is important to know the ballparks where runs will be scored and the places that they’ll be at a premium. So, let's look at every team’s Park Factor so far this year.

Park Factor compares the rate of stats at home vs. on the road for every team. This can be for home runs, hits, doubles, and even walks, but it is most important to look at runs. Anything over 1.000 is considered to be a hitters park and anything below 1.000 is a pitchers park.

Hitters Parks (Hunt for Overs)

  1. Cincinnati, Great American Ballpark: 1.447
  2. Colorado, Coors Field: 1.408
  3. Chicago, Wrigley Field: 1.257
  4. Detroit, Comerica Park: 1.180
  5. Los Angeles, Dodger Stadium: 1.151
  6. Toronto, Rogers Centre: 1.104
  7. Boston, Fenway Park: 1.090
  8. Atlanta, Truist Park: 1.089
  9. Chicago, Guaranteed Rate Field: 1.058
  10. Texas, Globe Life Field: 1.041
  11. San Francisco, Oracle Park: 1.026
  12. Miami, LoanDepot Park: 1.023

Last season, Comerica Park ranked number 29 in terms of Park Factor with a 0.877 and has made by far the biggest jump this year all the way to number four. Globe Life Park, LoanDepot Park, Guaranteed Rate Field, and Oracle Park also make the jump from the under the 1.000 benchmark to above it, and have been hitters parks so far. Last season, 16 parks finished above that number, but that includes all three different parks that the Blue Jays called home for that year.

Pitchers Parks (Keep an eye out for Unders)

  1. San Diego, Petco Park: 0.776
  2. Philadelphia, Citizen Bank Park: 0.823
  3. Tampa, Tropicana Field: 0.854
  4. Arizona, Chase Field: 0.859
  5. Washington D.C. Nationals Park: 0.861
  6. Kansas City, Kauffman Stadium: 0.876
  7. Houston, Minute Maid Park: 0.880
  8. Baltimore, Camden Yards: 0.890
  9. New York, Citi Field: 0.928
  10. Oakland, RingCentral Coliseum: 0.931
  11. Cleveland, Progressive Field: 0.939
  12. Pittsburgh, PNC Park: 0.948
  13. Milwaukee, American Family Field: 0.949
  14. New York, Yankee Stadium: 0.952
  15. St. Louis, Busch Stadium: 0.961
  16. Anaheim, Angel Stadium: 0.968
  17. Minnesota, Target Field: 0.981
  18. Seattle, T-Mobile Park: 0.991

One of the biggest changes is Camden Yards, which moved the left field fence back 26.5 feet and up to 13 feet tall. The change has accomplished its goal as the Park Factor for runs scored in 2021 at Camden was 1.165, good for seventh in the league. Now, Camden Yards sits as the eighth best pitchers park.

One of the biggest surprises is seeing American Family Field on the list of pitchers parks in 2022. Milwaukee finished with the third highest park factor for runs scored in 2021 at 1.278, behind just Buffalo and Dunedin, Toronto’s temporary homes.
