The NBA finally released its schedule for the 2022-23 season, and basketball fans everywhere can already see some of the best matchups throughout the 82-game slate.

With the season over two months away, there is plenty of time to debate the toughest and easiest schedules in the league, but with key players such as Kevin Durant and Donovan Mitchell on the trading block, a lot could change in the coming months.

Celtics Expected to Have Best Record in the NBA

The Boston Celtics have been rumored to be the frontrunner for Durant, and it’s no surprise that they are far and away the leader for the most wins in the league next season.

Boston, who made the NBA Finals last season, is also the favorite to win the NBA title. With the additions of Malcolm Brogdon and Danilo Gallinari, the Celtics will be an improved team in the 2022-23 campaign whether they land Durant or not.

After finishing with the best defense in the NBA and the No. 2 seed in the East last season, Boston is expected to take yet another step.

Odds Suggest Jazz Will Move Donovan Mitchell

The Utah Jazz have won 44 or more games in each of the last six seasons, but with head coach Quin Snyder stepping down and the team trading Rudy Gobert, they are expected to take a step back in the 2022-23 campaign.

However, it also appears that Vegas is bracing for the team to move Mitchell, with a win total at just 31.5 games. Yes, the Western Conference is tough, but Mitchell is an All-Star and may have been able to sneak Utah into the playoffs.

The three teams rumored to be interested in Mitchell, the New York Knicks, Charlotte Hornets and Washington Wizards, all have higher win totals than Utah.

Danny Ainge may play hard ball with teams before dealing his star, but the odds suggest it will happen either before or during the 2022-23 campaign.

Rudy Gobert Launches Timberwolves in Western Conference Standings

The Minnesota Timberwolves finished with the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference last season, and now they have the sixth highest win total in the West, just one game behind the Dallas Mavericks and Memphis Grizzlies.

Minnesota’s projection is also heavily juiced to the OVER, so Vegas expects Gobert to make a major impact and potentially help the Wolves win 50 games in the 2022-23 season.

After giving up a ton of draft capital to pry Gobert from Utah, the Wolves are certainly hoping that oddsmakers are right about their outlook.
