The NBA’s Summer League came to a close on Monday night with Emoni Bates, Isaiah Mobley and the Cleveland Cavaliers winning against the Houston Rockets to finish the summer undefeated.

The Summer League is a great time for true baskebtall junkies, as there are a ton of young and up-and-coming players that get to showcase their talent ahead of the NBA season.

From Victor Wembanyama to Scoot Henderson to Keyonte George, there were plenty of stars in the summer. The Thompson twins impressed in their time, and Sam Merrill is a player that could turn a non-guaranteed deal into a full-time contract after shining for Cleveland.

It's just a taste of some of the young talent we will see this fall.

With the Cavs taking home the Summer League title, it seems like a good time to see where the NBA Finals odds stand for the 2023-24 season.

There are currently four teams with odds shorter than +1000 at this point in the offseason. They are:

  • Denver Nuggets: +480
  • Boston Celtics: +500
  • Phoenix Suns: +650
  • Milwaukee Bucks: +850

Denver is looking to defend its title, but the offseason has certainly shook up the futures market.

Bradley Beal was dealt to Phoenix, and Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard has requested a trade with a plan to land with the Miami Heat or bust. Miami is +1000 to win the title after making the NBA Finals last season.

Plus, James Harden could be moved after he opted into his deal with the intent to work a trade – preferably to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors are hoping to bounce back after a down season, and the Los Angeles Lakers continued to add to their roster after a Western Conference Finals appearance in the 2022-23 season.

How have this offseason’s moves changed the futures market?
