The Los Angeles Dodgers are set to face-off against the Milwaukee Brewers for the second-straight night, but today's game has an extra special twist to it.

The Dodgers are set as underdogs to the Brewers, and it's only the third time all season that they won't be favored.

WynnBET Sportsbook has the Dodgers set as +114 underdogs. The Brewers are coming back as -124 favorites with Brandon Woodruff on the mount.

Dodgers' Underdog History is Not as Good as You Think

One might immediately jump at the chance to bet the Dodgers at plus-money on the moneyline. After all, why wouldn't you take the best team in baseball as an underdog?

Well, turns out there's usually good reason for the books to set them at that price.

The Dodgers have been underdogs twice this season, and they're 1-1 in those games. Not only that, but they're 1-5 as an underdog dating back to 2019. Even over their last 30 games as underdogs, they're 14-16.

Tonight, they're starting Ryan Pepiot, who makes just his sixth start in the Majors this season. He'll face a Brewers team that's smashing right-handed pitchers all season. They rank 2nd in MLB in OPS against them.

On top of that, Milwaukee starter Brandon Woodruff has a 9-3 record on the season.

If you like the Dodgers tonight, I'm not going to tell you to bet against them. But at the very least, you should proceed with caution.
