The Atlanta Falcons and New York Giants are both 0-2 and it’s the defenses that have pulled these teams down into their winless starts.

Atlanta allowed 32 points to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1, then 48 points to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2. New York allowed 27 points to the Denver Broncos in Week 1, then 30 to the Washington Football Team in Week 2. That’s an average of 40 points against the Dirty Birds and 28.5 points against the G-Men.

Which defense will sink even lower in Week 3?

WynnBET Sportsbook currently has the total for this Falcons vs. Giants game set at 47.5 (Over -105/Under -115). Terrible defenses on both sidelines, but with decent offensive playmakers in action as well, this could be a good spot to crush the over.

Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan should have a big game against a New York defense that has allowed 300 yards per game (25th in the NFL). The Giants allowed 264 yards and two touchdowns to Teddy Bridgewater in Week 1, then got torched by Taylor Heinicke for 336 yards and two touchdowns in Week 2.

Ryan may be trending downward as he gets older, but I have no doubt that he could beat the numbers put up by Bridgewater and Heinicke.

New York’s running back Saquon Barkley could have his much needed breakout game against a Falcons’ defense that is giving up 127.5 rushing yards per game (24th in the NFL). Daniel Jones leads the Giants in rushing yards, so it’s time for Barkley to put up the numbers.

Jones will get to face an Atlanta secondary that just got embarrassed last week and allowed five touchdown passes to a 44-year old man.

There will be offense and little to no defense.

It will be raining touchdowns as the offenses get warmer and the total should be in the low 60s.
