The Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers just faced off less than two weeks ago, in what some described as the "best worst game" played in recent history.

Neither team could get out of their own way, as the Falcons had a comfortable lead in the dying seconds but then gave up a huge touchdown catch from P.J. Walker to D.J. Moore. The Panthers kicker, Eddy Pineiro, then missed the extra point following a penalty which caused the game to go to overtime. He then missed another field goal in overtime and the Falcons eventually won by a final score of 37-34

Now, the two teams will face-off in a rematch on Thursday Night Football. The game will serve as the only primetime game for both teams this season.

Let's dive into the latest odds for this NFC South showdown.

Falcons vs. Panthers Prediction and Pick

The Panthers showed their true colors against the Bengals in Week 9, and I have no interest in betting on whoever starts at quarterback for them. It could be P.J. Walker, Sam Darnold, or Baker Mayfield, and no matter who it is, I'll still take the Falcons as small favorites.

A big issue with this Panthers offense, which costs them game after game, is their third down conversion rate. They rank dead last in the NFL in this stat, converting only 26.67% of their third down opportunities. The Falcons, on the other hand, have been fantastic, succeeding 45% on their third down chances; sixth-best mark in the league.

Carolina's defense has had trouble stopping the run in recent games. Over each team's last three contests, the Panthers rank 24th in opponent yards per carry, allowing an average of 4.9 yards per rush. That's bad news against the Falcons, who rank 12th in the NFL in yards per carry at 4.8.

I'll back the Dirty Birds to complete the season sweep against the Panthers.
