FCS National Championship, Prediction Odds and Bracket

The playoffs for the FCS National Championship begins on Saturday, Nov. 27 with Sam Houston State and North Dakota State coming away as the top two seeds.

The top eight seeds in the FCS receive a bye and automatically advance to the second round. North Dakota State has won eight of the last 10 titles, with James Madison and Sam Houston State each capturing one in that time frame.

Those three teams have the top three seeds in this year's playoff, so there's a great chance we see a familiar face winning the title in the 2021 season.

FCS National Championship Prediction

The FCS has been dominated by the same three teams over the past 10 years, and I can't help but take North Dakota State at +400 to win again this year.

The Bison average over 35 points per game this season and the fact that they're below SHSU and JMU in the odds makes them a more valuable pick for me. Yes, they'll likely have to knock off JMU to get to the title game, but the Bison have been a quarterback factory and elite program for a decade.

I am far from a FCS expert, but given the odds, this seems like a title for one of three teams to win.
