It has been a BIG year so far for San Diego Padres’ star shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr., and it continues to get bigger.

The 22-year old is tied for the lead for most home runs hit in Major League Baseball this season, and now he’s the odds on favorite to be named National League MVP on WynnBET. This comes just a few days after he secured the second spot on the list.

As of this morning, WynnBET has him listed atop the odds list to win the award at +210, surpassing Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. who is now listed at +225. Nolen Arenado (+900), Jacob deGrom (+900) and preseason favorite Mookie Betts (+1100) round out the top five players on the odds board.

Not only has Tatis Jr. experienced individual success, but the Padres are now second on the latest list of odds to win the World Series, behind only the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Tatis Jr. sports a batting average of .299 while bringing in 37 runs so far this season. Not only is he tied for the lead in home runs, but he’s played fewer games than the other players atop the list. Tatis Jr. has only 137 plate appearances this season, while Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Adolis Garcia and Acuna Jr., all have at least 173.

The sky's the limit for the young player, as his athleticism, power and carefree attitude has made him a popular figure for not only Padres fans, but fans of all teams across the Majors.

Tatis Jr. had an eye-popping month of May that has been the cause of his NL MVP odds sky-rocketing. He batted .353 that month, while hitting nine home runs and batting in 26 runs. If he’s just starting to hit his stride, keep an eye out for him in June.

There’s a new face of baseball, and his name is Fernando Tatis Jr.
