The worst team in the WNBA, the Indiana Fever, take on one of the best in the Las Vegas Aces on Thursday at 10 p.m. EST.

The Aces sit atop the Western Conference with an 18-8 record coming into this game, while the Fever are an abysmal 5-23 on the season and have lost 10 straight games.

Oddsmakers clearly see this as a lopsided matchup, as the Aces are 16-point favorites at WynnBET on Thursday night.

Let’s jump into the full odds for this game:

Fever vs. Aces Prediction and Pick

This immediately seems like a ton of points, especially since it is the first matchup of the season between these two squads. However, Indiana has lost five of its last 10 games by 16 or more, and some came against lesser competition than Vegas.

The Fever are just downright awful, posting a net rating of negative-12.2 per 100 possessions and ranking dead last in both offensive and defensive rating.

The only reason why I am hesitant to back Vegas is because I could see the Aces getting out to a big lead and coasting the rest of the way by sitting some of their top players.

For that reason, I’m going to back the OVER in this matchup instead. Even though eight of Indiana’s last 10 games have actually gone UNDER this number, they haven’t faced an offense like the one they will tonight.

Vegas is No. 1 in the league in offensive rating and has scored over 100 points in four of its last six games. Even though the Fever are dead last in offense, they are second in the league in pace behind, you guessed it, the Aces.

If this game turns into a track meet, Las Vegas is going to get buckets whenever it wants. Also, both of these teams have been better OVER teams on the season. Indiana is 16-12 on OVERs and Vegas is 15-10-1 this season.

Lean: OVER 174.5 (-110)
