Florida State vs. Boston College Prediction, Odds, Against Spread and Over/Under for College Football Week 12

The Florida State Seminoles finally had something to celebrate after a dismal 4-6 season thus far. FSU came out last week and upset their in-state rival Miami 31-28; inching closer to the possibility of a bowl game. 

The Seminoles hit the road this week to Chestnut Hill to square off against the Boston College Eagles. The Eagles come off an impressive win of their own over Georgia Tech and have now won two in a row. This is notable because starting QB Phil Jurkovec returned two weeks ago to a team that needed him. Jurkovec went 13-for-20 with 310 yards and two touchdowns. He did even more damage on the ground with 71 yards and three additional touchdowns. As I said, this team really needed him to get back on the field. Any fears that he wasn’t healthy have been assuaged and I think he will give FSU’s defense a tough game in Boston.

The Seminoles picked up a good win last week but that doesn’t change the fact this is a pretty average team at best. They are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games and have covered just seven times in their last 22 overall. They have a better depth chart, but FSU’s talent just hasn’t been able to click. They have consistency issues on both sides of the ball and will run into a very physical BC defense that is ranked third against the pass. 

Meanwhile, the Eagles looked like a different team with Jurkovec under center. They are also 4-1 ATS at home in their last five games and 5-1 ATS in their last six games as favorites. The Eagles looked like a team that has found their footing after a few down games and I like them to continue to win on the back of Jurkovec in Week 12.
