Fresno State heads to Reno to face the Nevada Wolfpack in a battle of Mountain West opponents on Friday night.
Fresno is off a come from behind victory over Utah State at home to make it three straight wins while Nevada tries to establish some consistency after going 2-3 in their last five games dating back to the end of December.

Fresno State vs. Nevada Prediction and Pick
Fresno State opened as favorites but moved swiftly to 2-point underdogs. However, I'm not sure I agree with the move.
I made the Bulldogs slight favorites mainly because they are able to turn their opponent over and crush the glass against a sloppy Nevada offense. The Wolfpack are 266th in offensive rebounding rate and middling in protecting the rock this season.
Nevada likes to play fast, 15th in adjusted tempo this season, but I'm bearish that they can win the battle of pace with a Fresno State that is bottom 20 in that metric this season. The team has a star big man in Orlando Robinson who should feast against uncapable bigs in Warren Washington and Will Baker.
Steve Alford's team has moved to favorites, but I can't back this Nevada team to win against a quality opponent. They have lost to all six KenPom top 100 teams they have played this season and Fresno (No. 56 in KenPom's rating) has shown the capability to win on the road, winning at tough places to play like Weber State and UNLV in the past month.
I'm going to fade the line move and take Fresno to get the job done on Friday night.
PICK: Fresno State +2, play to PK
