Georgetown vs. Seton Hall Prediction and Odds for Big East Tournament First Round
By Matt De Saro
The Georgetown Hoyas are objectively the worst team in the Big East right now.
They are the only team to win less than six games in conference play and the margins weren't even close. Turns out, the Hoyas actually won zero games in conference play and just six overall while on a 20 game losing streak. 20!
While at first glance, I feel like we can just end this preview there, but I doubt my editor would appreciate that. So, let's go over the odds for this game before I break down all the ways that Georgetown is deemed hopeless.

Georgetown vs. Seton Hall Prediction and Pick
Seton Hall enters this game in a really good place considering they had some bad stretches of play this year.
They ended the year in fifth place in the Big East with a 20-9 overall record and an 11-8 mark in conference play. Seton Hall has beaten Georgetown twice already this year and is on a five-game winning streak heading into tournament play. One of those recent wins was over Georgetown by five. While the Pirates didn't cover the 13 point spread in that game, this one feels different.
Seton Hall is rolling and has the luxury of this very winnable first-round matchup. The Pirates also have their first game in weeks that actually counts for anything. They were a contender for the conference early on after starting 9-1 but fell off a cliff shortly thereafter. Now, with a reason to win again, I think this team could do some damage early on.
The Hoyas are 7-10-2 ATS in conference games and 8-13-2 as underdogs. Fade the Hoyas and roll with the Pirates to cover.
Pick: Seton Hall -9.5 (-110)
