Georgetown vs Seton Hall Prediction and Odds (Expect Slow Game With Lots of Missed Shots)
By Joe Summers
The 18-9 Seton Hall Pirates aim for a season-sweep as they take on the 6-22 Georgetown Hoyas tonight at 7:00 p.m. EST.
Seton Hall beat Georgetown 70-63 last month and are 6-2 in their previous eight, including three straight wins. The Hoyas, meanwhile, are uh, bad. Very, very bad. They've lost 18 consecutive games and are 6-10-2 against the spread (ATS) in that stretch.
Can Georgetown conjure up enough motivation to cover a double-digit spread on the road or will Seton Hall's final home game of the season be a resounding victory?

Georgetown vs Seton Hall Prediction and Pick
Seton Hall should dominate this game. Georgetown is 310th in effective field goal percentage with the 347th-ranked two-point offense and 327th in defensive effective field goal percentage with the 293rd two-point defense. The Hoyas are horrible inside, but Seton Hall hasn't been a favorite of this many points all season, and the Hoyas are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five.
The Pirates are excellent defensively, with the 31st-best adjusted defensive efficiency, but they're bad offensively. They rank 268th in effective field goal percentage and make only 46.7% of their two-point shots.
Since the spread is so high, I'm fearful of a backdoor cover for the Hoyas. I don't trust Georgetown to cover at all, but Seton Hall is just 1-6 ATS over its last seven as a home favorite. As a result, I'm looking to the total for value.
The under is 9-3 in Seton Hall's last dozen games, 5-1 in their previous six as a home favorite, and 3-1 in Georgetown's last four. Only 133 points were scored in the first matchup despite the Pirates shooting 40% from beyond the arc on 30 attempts. They shoot only 33.4% on the season from deep, so we can expect some regression there.
Georgetown is in the first percentile in effective field goal percentage over their last five at a downright disgusting 43.1%, while the Pirates are in the seventh percentile in pace of play over their last five.
We should see a slow game and a lot of missed shots. That's beautiful for an under.
Pick: Under 145 (-110)
