The Georgia State Panthers (4-4) picked up their third straight win on Saturday, defeating the Georgia Southern Eagles, 21-14. The Panthers would win on a 23-yard touchdown run by running back Jamyest Williams with only 26 seconds left in regulation.

The Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns (7-1) lost their season opener to then-No. 21 Texas, but have since rolled, winning seven straight games.

Louisiana destroyed the Texas State Bobcats in Week 9, winning 45-0. Quarterback Levi Lewis completed 22 of 33 passes for 229 yards and three touchdowns, and now has 11 touchdown passes to three interceptions this season.

Georgia State vs. Louisiana-Lafayette Prediction and Pick

Louisiana has played solid defensively this season, allowing under 20 points per game. The Ragin’ Cajuns 69th-ranked rushing defense (152.9 rushing yards allowed per game) will line up against a Georgia State rushing attack that is averaging 224 rushing yards per contest. Louisiana will have to contain the Panthers’ running game.

Louisiana boasts a solid running game as well, averaging 208.1 rushing yards per game, and will flatten the Panthers weak defense.

Levi Lewis has been extremely reliable under center for the Ragin’ Cajuns and should manage the offense well against a mediocre opponent like Georgia State.

Louisiana should cover the double-digit spread at home.

I’m taking the Ragin’ Cajuns on the spread at -11.
