Giannis Antetokounmpo Expected to Have Another 30-Point Game

Outside of Giannis Antetokounmpo’s fumbling of the ball and poor late-game play, he had a really good Game 5 against the Brooklyn Nets. He was aggressive, efficient and great on the boards.

Yet, he and the Milwaukee Bucks were overshadowed by Kevin Durant having possibly the greatest game of his career. However, a loss is a loss, leaving the Bucks facing elimination. At home, Antetokounmpo needs to step up and deliver in every way to force a Game 7. 

For Giannis, his last three games have been good scoring outputs. In Games 3, 4 and 5, the two-time MVP has scored 33, 34 and 34 points, respectively. His scoring has been high and that translates directly to his player prop for points. 

WynnBET projects Antetokounmpo will have another great scoring game. His point total line is set at 33.5 for Game 6, with the over odds (-116) favored against the under (-104). Milwaukee will need every single point Giannis can give them considering Khris Middleton has not performed up to his normal standards. 

For the series, Middleton is averaging 21.8 points per game. That number is higher than his regular season output, but the efficiency has taken a turn for the worst. In the regular season, Middleton was shooting 47.6% from the floor. Now, that number has fallen to 38.1%. He is struggling to make shots, putting more scoring pressure on Antetokounmpo.

Milwaukee is a 5.5-point favorite in Game 6. Although the series is not in their favor, the Bucks have done the minimum and protected home court. They need to do the same tonight and get themselves into an unpredictable Game 7 situation. 

To do so, Giannis will have to figure out how to put the ball in the basket and how to take advantage of a defense that refuses to play up on him. The Nets have their strategy and love its results so far this series. I think Giannis will surpass his prop projection and force the issue tonight.
