New York Giants vs. Miami Dolphins Prediction and Pick

While the Dolphins come in hot, I'm going to side with the Giants catching points in this one.

The Dolphins were home underdogs to the Panthers last week, and now find themselves laying a field goal to a Giants team that also beat this Panthers team earlier in the season (as small home underdogs too). The math on this matchup just doesn't check out. I make this game closer to a pick 'em and believe that the market is giving a bit too much credit for a turnover driven Miami win last week against Carolina.

Over the last four weeks, the Dolphins have the second best defense in EPA/Play, which sounds incredible, but when you look at their schedule, it's overrated. The team shut down the Texans, Jets, Panthers, and Ravens on a short week. The Giants aren't world beaters, but this Miami defense is playing over their head.

As for the Giants defense, they have posted the 11th best mark against elite offenses such as the Chiefs, Raiders, Buccaneers and Eagles.

In a game with a low total of 42, I'll take the underdog that has been facing a much more difficult schedule.
