It’s been a slow build up for Saquon Barkley after suffering a torn ACL in Week 2 of last season, but things are trending up for the Giants running back.

After taking just 29 snaps in Week 1, Barkley was on the field for 58 of 69 snaps in the team’s loss to Washington.

However, oddsmakers at WynnBET Sportsbook aren’t declaring Barkley ‘back’ just yet.

Barkley’s rushing yards prop is set at 64.5 yards, with both the over and under set with odds of -115.

The 2018 No. 2 pick’s receiving yards prop is set at 23.5 (-115 both ways as well).

This may be selling Barkley short, and this could be the last time we get low numbers on the explosive back with the Giants set to face the porous Falcons defense. Atlanta is 27th in explosive pass and rush defense this season.

On an every down perspective, the Falcons defense is 27th in rushing success allowed.

If Barkley receives a steady diet of carries, say 15-18, an average day with the rock should get him over the 64.5 yards rushing.

In the passing game, the running back has three targets in each game, and the Falcons are getting pressure on the quarterback at a bottom 10 rate. Daniel Jones may look down the field more, so I’ll be angling to take Barkley’s rushing yards prop instead of receiving.
