Giants Fans Should Prepare for Another Season of Mediocrity with Joe Judge and Daniel Jones
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, Giants fans, but it looks like you're going to have to live through another season with Joe Judge as your head coach and Daniel Jones as your quarterback.
The Giants have had yet another disappointing season. They're sitting at 4-10 ahead of their Week 16 matchup against the Eagles, and there's not much to be happy about on the team. Their offense ranks 24th in the NFL in yards per play, and their defense ranks 16th in opponent yards per play. While there are certainly teams that rank worse in those two categories, New York continues to struggle to add to the win column.
A big reason for that has been head coach Joe Judge, who has made consistently questionable play-calling decisions during games. His vanilla offense and complete lack of red zone success (last in NFL in red zone TD percentage), has left Giants fans and bettors frustrated.
Giants Have Hope in Upcoming Draft
Don't get too down, Giants fans. If there's a silver lining to this season, it's that you will have two top 10 draft picks in the upcoming draft.
As of writing this article, the Giants would select fifth overall (Bears 2021 pick from Justin Fields trade last year), and sixth overall (their own pick). If Joe Judge knows what he's doing at all, there's no reason why he can't take a step forward next season with young talent and a healthy Daniel Jones.
With that being said, nothing Judge has shown me gives me confidence that he'll be able to pull it off. New York fans, you might want to scratch next season off as a dud before you get your hopes up.
