Every team in the NFC East is 1-1 right now, except for the New York Giants. Even in the wide open NFC East, a bad start can push you back heavily, and the Giants are in the very back right now.

WynnBET currently has the Giants’ odds to win the division at +750, which is dead last. At 0-2, the Giants’ season is hanging in the balance going into their next game against the Atlanta Falcons.

To make matters worse, the Giants lost Nick Gates for the rest of the season with a broken leg. New York has struggled in not only protecting Daniel Jones, but it has not gave Saquon Barkley the best blocking to get his comeback season started.

New York blew its opportunity to get its first win when Dexter Lawrence jumped offsides, but even at 1-1 the Giants would be last in the odds standings.

Their win total projection is currently at 6.5, with the odds set at as a -110 pick’em. It’s still early in the season, but you will not catch me putting my faith or money into the New York Giants. To get to the over, you would be asking the Giants to play basically .500 football (7-8 for the rest of the season) and I don’t see that happening.

Daniel Jones looks like the same quarterback he’s been, and until Barkley can carry the offense, the Giants will have nothing in the backfield.

The Giants are a mess right now and they need serious help. If they can’t compete in the NFC East, they need to go back to the drawing board.
