Giants vs. Bears Updated Odds and Prediction: What Bettors Need to Know
By Matt De Saro
The end of the season can’t come soon enough for the New York Giants. This week they head up north to take on the Chicago Bears in a fight of two teams with nothing left to fight for.
The 4-11 Giants continued their annual tradition of starting off slow and then continuing to get worse as injuries ravage their starting lineup. Heading into Week 7, the Giants have lost four games in a row and seven of their last 10.
The team was already heading for an 0-6 end to the season but the loss of Daniel Jones at quarterback has pretty much cemented that as a reality.
While the Bears are in a similar spot, building around a young quarterback, at least Chicago’s blue-chipper will play this week. At 5-10, the Bears aren’t doing that much better in the standings. But, when you watch the two teams play, it is clear the Bears have a leg up on their Week 17 competition. The oddsmakers appear to agree and set the opening spread for this game at 5.5 in favor of the home team.

Giants vs. Bears Prediction and Pick
Things for the Giants are going from bad to worse in a hurry. The latest blow to a team that is already down was Daniel Jones getting shelved thanks to an ongoing injury. Now, the Giants have to start either Jake Fromm or Mike Glennon. This decision is akin to deciding which COVID variant you prefer in that neither choice is preferred. Other than that they are pretty healthy, but a healthy roster does very little if the talent isn’t there.
Fromm got his chance to pay last week and went 6-for-17 with 25 yards and an interception in two quarters of “work.” It was even uglier than it looks on paper. Even after Glennon replaced him, the G-Men were only able to muster 192 yards total on 2.6 yards per play. Of these two teams, the Giants look way closer to just giving up and calling it an offseason.
Justin Fields is listed as questionable for the Bears but is expected to be available along with Darnell Mooney. If Fields cant play, things could get hairy for the Bears with Andy Dalton also on the shelf with a groin injury.
If Fields plays, I fully expect the Bears to do some damage on offense against the Giants. I don’t see anything coming together on offense for New York and expect them to sleepwalk to another ATS loss.
Pick: Chicago Bears -6 (-110)
