The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have lost two straight, but will head home to face the New York Giants, who are coming off of a bye week and trying to make a miraculous run to the postseason.

As an underdog this season, the Giants are 5-3 against the spread, and I see this as the right side to play on Monday Night Football. With that in mind, I do need to see an injury report before I place this bet.

The Bucs have been banged up all year in the secondary and both Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski have missed several weeks due to injury. If Tampa Bay comes into this game hobbled once again, the Giants will only have more opportunity to cover. Of course, the line will go down, but I would play this above +10 with a bad injury report, and +11.5 pending a good report from Tampa Bay.


Meanwhile, the Giants is hopeful that Saquan Barkley will be back from his ankle injury, adding a key weapon for quarterback Daniel Jones, who has played very well despite a banged up skill position group this season.

I like the Giants to hang around (assuming there isn't a lopsided injury report against the Giants) as well because of the make up of their defense. New York's game plan on defense is to avoid explosive plays, 14th in explosive rush defense and 10th in explosive pass. If Tampa Bay can't beat Big Blue deep for chunk plays, I believe the visitors can score enough on a vulnerable defense and cover this double digit spread.

While many will flock to the Bucs as a get right team, the Giants are in a great spot to stay close.
