The San Francisco Giants are starting to turn things around after a brutal losing streak, winning three straight games heading into their series with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

These two teams were atop the NL West standings last season, but San Francisco has taken a major step back, currently 27.5 games behind the Dodgers in the division.

Logan Webb (11-8, 2.89 ERA) has been solid for the Giants once again in 2022, and he’ll get the ball against lefty Andrew Heaney (2-1, 2.12 ERA) on Labor Day.

The Dodgers are 8-2 in Heaney’s 10 starts this season, and they are heavily favored (rightfully so) at FanDuel Sportsbook:

Giants vs. Dodgers Odds, Run Line and Total

Run Line:

  • Giants +1.5 (-110)
  • Dodgers -1.5 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • Giants: +188
  • Dodgers: -225

Total:

  • 8.5 (Over -102/Under -120)

Giants vs. Dodgers Prediction and Pick

The Dodgers are a solid pick on the run line here, given how well they’ve covered in 2022, but I actually have a player prop that I like more in this matchup.

Despite struggling in his last outing against the Dodgers, I believe Webb is due for a bounce-back game on Monday.

The UNDER on Webb’s hits allowed prop is at plus money, and I think it’s set a little too high for a starter who has limited opponents with a 1.18 WHIP this season.

Webb has allowed five or fewer hits in seven of his last 10 starts, including a five-hit game against the Dodgers back in July. The August start against Los Angeles stings, but I believe that is more of an outlier than the norm for Webb.

In his career, Webb has allowed just 36 hits in eight starts (40.2 innings) against the Dodgers. I’m surprised that the UNDER is at plus money given how well Webb has pitched in 2022, so this is a spot where the price is too juicy to pass up in my eyes.

PICK: Logan Webb UNDER 5.5 Hits Allowed (+110)
