With an 18-2 record over their last 20 games, the Dodgers are burning everything around them to the ground. They're scorching hot and send their ace, Clayton Kershaw, to the mound today against Alex Cobb and the Giants.

Kershaw is back to his usual dominant self, amassing a 0.40 ERA this month with 24 strikeouts and just one walk in 22.1 innings.

The Giants are 1-6 in their last seven as road underdogs but hope Cobb can buck the trend this afternoon. He's thrown three consecutive quality starts, compiling a 2.22 ERA in four July starts. He remains one of the most unlucky pitchers in MLB, as his 2.79 expected ERA is miles better than his 4.09 actual ERA.

Can Cobb's luck turn around against Los Angeles or will Kershaw keep the winning streak alive?

Giants vs Dodgers Prediction and Pick

Alex Cobb's poor luck just won't stop. He's finally getting the results that match his underlying profile and now he has to face Clayton Kershaw? Not cool, man.

Kershaw is in elite form after a relatively slow start to the season. In July, he's allowed one run, 10 hits, and one walk in 22.1 innings while striking out 24. He's been obscenely good and I don't see the Giants lineup getting to him today.

But I do genuinely think Cobb will pitch well too. His 2.79 expected ERA ranks fifth among all qualified pitchers and he's coming off 7.1 innings without allowing an earned run against Milwaukee.

That being said, San Francisco's defense seems to always find a way to mess things up. Thus, I see value on the Dodgers to keep rolling on the run line, but I also like the under. It's hit in four straight Kersahw starts and is 5-1 in Cobb's last six.

The under is also 12-4-3 in Los Angeles' last 19 as home favorites. With these elite pitchers on the mound, I expect a low-scoring game in which the Dodgers prevail something along the lines of 4-1. It's Kershaw day, let's celebrate accordingly.

Pick: Dodgers -1.5 (-105) and Under 7.5 (+105)
