Last season, the two best teams in the regular season came from the NL West and they reignite their rivalry on Tuesday night in Los Angeles.

The San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers were neck and neck all last season, culminating in a thrilling NLDS. Now, the team turns to two of their best pitchers in Carlos Rodón for the Giants and Julio Urías for the Dodgers in the series opener on Tuesday.

Who has the edge in this high powered matchup? Here are the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook:

Giants vs. Dodgers Odds, Run Line, Total

Run Line:

  • Giants: +1.5 (-175)
  • Dodgers: -1.5 (+145)

Moneyline:

  • Giants: +125
  • Dodgers: -135

Total: 7 (Over -110/Under -110)

Dodgers vs. Giants Prediction and Pick

The Dodgers may have more star power on their team, but the hottest player on the field will be the Giants starter Rodón, who has a 1.17 ERA, an MLB best 0.95 FIP (Fielding Independent Pitching) as well as a 14.9 K/9 rate. He has been dominant through his first handful of starts and will look to keep it going against a loaded Dodgers lineup.

I can't make LA this type of favorites against a pitcher like Rodon when the team's own lefty starter has been ripe for regression since the start of the season. Urías ERA looks nice, 2.50 thus far, but his FIP is north of 4.00, hinting that he has been bailed out in the field. He has walked four batters per nine innings, nearly double from last season and can be exposed against a disciplined Giants team.

San Francisco has a 12.6% walk rate against left handed pitching this season.

Both of these teams are fantastic, true contenders in a competitive National League this season, but I can't pass up Rodón at this price. I trust him to keep rolling while Urías concerning walk rate is exposed against San Fran's hitters.

LEAN: Giants +125
