The battle for New York comes to NFL Preseason Week 3 between two franchises who, for all the losing they've done in the regular season, are stellar when the games don't count.

After an 8-point win over Atlanta last week, the New York Jets are 5-0-1 in their last six preseason games, covering the spread in all but one. Meanwhile, the New York Giants are 8-4 against the spread (ATS) in their last 12 preseason games and seem to be adjusting to life under Brian Daboll quite well.

With at least 20 points in three straight preseason games, the Giants' offense is clicking. Not to be outdone, the Jets accomplished that feat in four consecutive games.

Should bettors just pound the over? Or is there value on a side? Let's check out the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook before jumping into it.

Giants vs Jets Prediction and Pick

I'm surprised this total is only 38. The Jets' offense feels reinvigorated thanks to a greater depth of skill players and a stronger offensive line, while the Giants have the mastermind behind the Bills' rise calling the shots now in Brian Daboll.

Neither defense is stellar, and as a result the total has cleared 38 in each team's last three preseason games. Davis Webb was impressive for the Giants last week, completing 22/27 passes with a pair of touchdowns. I expect another strong performance from Webb as he competes for the backup quarterback job behind Daniel Jones.

It's impossible to ignore the Jets' offensive success as well. They've got a loaded running back room, with Michael Carter, Breece Hall, Tevin Coleman, and Ty Johnson, among others. The Giants surrendered a pair of touchdowns on the ground last week and the Jets should find ample running room.

With two offenses we can trust against leaky defenses, I'll back the over up to 39.5 and think we get a high-scoring battle of New York.

Pick: Over 38.0 (-110)
