Giants vs. Seahawks Prediction: Barkley and Walker Run Their Way to the Over
By Josh Yourish
I’ll put my hand up and admit that I never thought that the New York Giants against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 8 would be one of the biggest games of the Week, but here we are. Daniel Jones and Geno Smith have been two of the biggest surprises in the NFL so far as the Giants are 6-1 and Seahawks are 4-3.
Pete Carroll and Brian Daboll are two of the favorites for Coach of the Year, so let’s check out who is the favorite in this game.

The Seahawks opened as 2.5 point favorites, but the spread is up to 3. The total has only gone up a half point to 44.5.
Giants vs. Seahawks Prediction and Pick
I mentioned the quarterbacks in this one and they have impressed out of nowhere, but this game will be about the rushing attacks for both teams. Kenneth Walker has emerged as one of the most exciting runners in the NFL as a rookie. Last week, Walker ran the ball 23 times for 167 yards and two touchdowns. He should have another great day against the Giants who allow the most yards per carry of any defense in the NFL, 5.7.
Saquon Barkley is the No. 1 guy on the New York offense, he is their leading rusher with 726 yards on the ground and leads the team in receptions with 25. Everything is centered around him and he should have a successful day against Seattle’s defense that has given up the second most rushing yards of any team and 4.9 yards per carry.
Both teams will be able to score, but not through the air, they will do it on the ground. That’s why I’m going to take the over in this one with two underrated offenses.
Pick: Over 44.5 (-107)
